Handphone Casing and pigskin

Peace be upon you...

Great...just great...
Now i knew that my hand phone casing is made of pigskin....
That freaked me out.....
Why??
Cause we have issues with Pigs and Dogs...
Yeah..I don't want to elaborate more on that...
but yeah, since my hand phone is made of pigskin, I need to check, whether it's truly pigsin or not...

So, I googled "how to identify pigskin", "samsung cover pigskin." etc2...got some few pics of pigskins...I compare it with my casing...

You can identify pigskin quite easily actually thanks to it's distinctive feature...which is 3 dots which are aligned in a systematic order like the picture above...I already realised this when I got the casing from the shop I bought my handphone, but I didn't suspect anything at the particular time....until recently when my friend said that his wallet is made of pigskin too...then only I remembered that my casing have more or less the same pattern...

And yeah...after surfing the internet for the most reliable source, I'm 60% sure that my casing is made of pigskin....yeah..PIGSKIN...

So, what's next??

How to purify myself (it sounds weird, but here purify means to clean my exterior fully in order to do daily ibadah'....I thought earlier that i need to "samak"(purify) everything with mud-water and pure water...but after searching the internet for some authentic arguments and fatwa on this, I found these websites....

1. http://www.islamhelpline.com/node/7973
2. http://www.islamweb.net/emainpage/index.php?page=showfatwa&Option=FatwaId&Id=128662
3. http://islamqa.info/en/ref/22713
4. http://en.islamtoday.net/artshow-377-3280.htm

Then only I know that for pigskin, there are a few arguments about it....
There are various views from the ulama' on this matter...

Two of them:...

1) You just have to wash your hand like you touch bird's poo
2) You just have to wash your hand with mud-water and clean water....

There are a few more elaborations about this...but most of the sites that I visited said that there are no clear hadith regarding pigs...{different case for dogs..}

Well, yeah..even though my casing is made of pigskin, and it's quite tough for me to endure that...
but at least I got new knowledge regarding this matter....(since my secondary school, I thought we need to use mud-water and clean water regardless of the situation....)

well...

The Ending of a magnificent story.......;'(

Peace be upon you,

Finished reading this book. To be honest, I don't really see why it is such a popular book. I'm not saying it's not good. Don't take me wrong. In my most humble opinion, in contrast with books such as the 7 habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey or Men from Mars, Women from Venus by John Gray or Tony Parson's Harry series(the man and wife, man and boy etc2), it doesn't impress me much. But this is not an absolute truth or what others should feel about this. This is just my personal opinion. However, I don't think it's fair to compare this book with the aforementioned masterpiece since they are of different genre....

Anyway, before I continue my commentary on this book, perhaps it's fair if I paste the summary of the book first.

Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, and gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it. For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly twenty years ago. Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded. Wouldn't you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you? Mitch Albom had that second chance. He rediscovered Morrie in the last months of the older man's life. Knowing he was dying of ALS - or motor neurone disease - MItch visited Morrie in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college. Their rekindled relationship turned into one final 'class': lessons in how to live. TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE is a magical chronicle of their time together, through which Mitch shares Morrie's lasting gift with the world.

Basically, this book tells about the lessons of death. A lecture about death, you can say it that way.

I think, the reason why I don't find this book as amazing at I thought it would be, perhaps because I've read better stories about lessons about death..So perhaps the author did not manage to touch my heart as much as the stories that I've read before..

What story that touched me so much till this book doesn't have a strong effect on me, I hear you ask?

Well, basically I'll just say how it ends. there might be some mistake in my writing that the original one, but it sounds more or less like this:

When he's on his death throes, even though his soul is slowly being pulled out from his body, he learnt that the process of his death, is the least painful death that someone can ever have. Which means that other people  who died, will go through pain that no one can ever imagine, so unbearable before he completely passed away. But yet, the man said, "If so, I am willing to bear the pain of the people who died, so that their death will be eased." But that feat is impossible because every people will need to be responsible of what they did, and if they did good, they will face a lesser pain compared to those who did a lot of sins and bad deeds.[With His willing]

The pain, the excruciating pain(but still considered the least pain of all other deaths....) didn't stop him from giving advice to the people...not just the the people surrounding him during that time, but for the future generation...and we could say to US... Words of wisdom that always gave hope and serenity to those who heard them....

Before he died, his lips muttered the words...."Ya Ummati, Ya Ummati, Ya Ummati"....

How can there be other great lessons of death than this :'( ??This is just a portion of the story, just the ending of a long and magnificent true story that shone our life today....The story that changed the course of history of the world[which is planned by Him]....

I'm sure those who read this will understand which story did I mean...I don't think I need to tell anymore about it...but in case you don't know, this is the story of our beloved prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him).....
